Hello, I have a gateway SX2803(http://us.gateway.com/gw/en/US/content/model/PT.GBSP2.0...) and i'm trying to find out what my best upgrade option is in terms of gaming with a graphics card. It has a 220w PSU and a PCI express x16 slot. I've tried to find what a good one is but i dont understand what exactly constitutes greatness in the graphics card world, and all the posts i can find are from 2010 and i feel that things have changed since then because alot of mixed opinion from the responses i find. Help me plox :p

Thank you for the reply, but the card you linked is really poor, ive read of people using the Radeon HD 5670 without problems and ive read a great article (http://www.blogula-rasa.com/2009/08/22/upgrade-a-go-go/...) about how a person used a GeForce 9600 GT with exactly the same pcu/case without too much of a problem(well no problems for 3 years), i was wondering more, if in the years past there are greater cards than these that can be feasibly used with my machine.

It depends on which games u wanna play and at what resolution. I'd recommend a hd 6850 or a hd 6870if u want to play games like bf3 but u'll need to upgrade ur psu.

Well, as i'm using a TV for a display it will always be the native resolution 1360x768(i could never get it's real native resolution to work over hdmi 1366x768) I'm really only interested in finding what's the best gpu i can run wih my current GPU, because i feel that with this case it will be extremely hard to find a PSU that will even fit, and i dont plan on doing so much heavy gaming, some WoW, Dota2, Diablo III, Portal 2.

the hd 6670/7750 would be good. It doesn't need any power connectors too, Also what is ur psu brand

If u Have to play D3 on maxed out 6670 is best, if u'll play at medium settings than there are other choices

I don't necessarily NEED max settings, but the price of the card isn't an issue so i just wanted to know what the best one is I found this ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0lOPwd69Xc ) and my CPU is even less than his( http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17095231/CPU.png ) so i think it may run on my psu, i think i may go with that, Thank you :D

yes ur psu'll handle it i guess :)

Edit: read this

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/341930-33-radeon-6670...

it says 220 w is enough but a man says he had a 300w which was inadequate.
But i think it'll handle it, but be sure to buy a new quality psu as soon as u can just to minimize the risk :D
