I'm having trouble with my Nvidia 8400gs

I have a Nvidia 8400gs 256MB memory card, its not working properly. When I turn on my computer it shows horizontal or vertical lines and the computer also gets help up when the user log in show up. I reinstalled the drivers to see if it makes any difference, after reinstalling the drivers the card worked for a couple of hours and then on the next restart it again started giving errors. I have also got the BSOD some times after the computer got held.
I have attached some screen shots of what happens.
I'm using windows XP-SP3.

I may be wrong, but it looks like the 8400GS is starting to die.

it your gpu that failing...it has bad bit in the gpu ram or the gpu itself has gone bad. time to replace the video card on your pc.
