Hello!
It is summer and my dad has asked me if I would like to build my own laptop. I said Yes and he told me to do some research. After researching hard I found that he has given me a horrible budget for what I need. Here is some info:

Budget: $350
Minimum ram: 3 GB
Minimum space: 200 GB

Gaming? I play a little minecraft, nothing too serious, just don't want it to be laggy. I also play toontown, but that
doesn't really require much.

I am also starting to program... I am thinking of starting in something like Java or Flash.

Current materials: None.

Could someone help me? I can't find any decent barebone laptop that would fit my needs.

Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Idt your going to get anything good around 350. Save up some money. Of course you could probably browse on ebay, but I don't like purchasing laptops off ebay, had issues in the past.

Noah...yes lord?? build be a pc with and i5 and 8g of ram so i may smite people in company of heroes.... :D :D

it hard to build a laptop as the laptop vendors dont make stock motherboards like they do for a pc. your better off looking at hp/dell closeout on there web page or daily deals on new egg and micro center if you want a laptop.

now 350.00 will buy you a good desktop pc for light gaming and coding.
intel h61 mb and g520-620 cpu

these are just two quick combo kits i found online. if you want to game then toss in a small video card. or a mid size one and a larger power supply. 18-22 inch lcd run 80-150.00 new then keyboard..mouse and speakers.
with more money i would go with an i5-3450 locked cpu and a h77 mb. then when i saved up some cash put in a ssd and a gaming gpu. have a rig that last you a few years.

Thanks, but since my dad is so strict on the price, I guess I will just make the laptop for fun.

Lets see...

Ram: Maybe 524 MB?

Hard drive: 75-100 GB?

Motherboard: Whatever is cheap

Video card: Whatever is cheap

Im gonna try that, see what I can do :sol:
