Q45/43

Hello,
my wife has an lenovo m58 with the q45/43 chipset and she wants to play diablo 3 i have a 5770 i can not make it work in that thing yes i added a new psu

Can you tell us what PSU you purchased?

Also when you say you can't get it to work, can you expand on that at all.... does the GPU fan spin, do you get any error codes/beeps? have you tried the graphics card in another PC?

yes sorry i put a 500 watt cool master i can get the card to run to install

the q45/43 is onboard when i reboot guess what its back ! it ran 1 night real smooth played DIII for an hour thought yea she will love it next day back to q45/43

Hmm... I would check in the BIOS and make sure that onboard video is disabled, then see if it boots with the HD5770

yes i diabled the q45/43 in the bios but it keeps coming back after hours i got it to boot to the 5770 1 time i also tried a 5450 that i had laying around no go i dont have a nvidia based card or i would try it

i think its some thing to do with this chipset and not a videocard install

Sorry i guess i was not clear i disabled the onboard video in the bios ... about 30 times


it will not boot to the 5750 or the 5440 except one time for about an hour it played great . the next boot up back to the q45/43
