Hello, any suggestions or idea how I can fix the power button on an Acer aspire? It must have a loose wire or connection because it will light up momentarily depending on the angle of the laptop. But it will not turn on.

The issue is probablly not the button. The button simply sends a boot signal to the board. It is not like an old fashiond switch that must complete a circut.
Chances are the issue is the power supplier or something internal like the ram or CPU. I would see if you can borrow a power wire from with the same voltage from a friend or coworker.
If that does not work you may consider removing and cleaning and reinstalling the ram. Any other maintenance or diagnostic would require taking the laptop apart.
As said its NOT the button its much more likely to be the psu failing...
All the best Brett
How do you fix a power button? You don't, you just replace them after they test bad. To test it you will need to disassemble the laptop.
