hi there,i was looking at some of the new radeon 7870 graphics cards and i noticed that they are PCI-E 3.0..i am wondering if these are compatible with PCI-E 2.0 on my motherboard and system for a possible upgrade in the future,my system has the following spec"s..thank you...


core I5 2500k

asrock pro3 mobo

gtx560 ti gainward

650watt true power psu

1tb wd caviar black hd

cm storm case

Solution
You only need to worry about which PCIe revision your board supports if you're looking at the highest end cards, like the GTX 590/690 and HD 6990. Even then a lowly PCIe 1.1 board can provide about 95% of the performance of the card.

In short: Don't worry, be happy!
