New card or second 6870

Which would offer the best perfomance/price benefit?

I have an xfx 6870 and can get another for 180ish i thing or selling the one i have and get a 7870 or nvidia card. The most i wanna spend if i go for a newer card is 250-275 so i can sell the old one to lower the cost.

Whats everyone think? double up or single newer card?

checked some prices. looks like best nvidia card i can get for 250 ish is a 570. which is better, a 570 or 7870?

a 7870 is better, i wouldn't xfire the 6870, few of my friends have this kind of setup and they are having lots of trouble, because its a mid range card, stuttering is a common thing, second thing is the amd drivers. get a single card setup, best and hassle free.

whats your resolution, 6870 can run any game at high settings at full hd resolution and some even max, and your cpu please

i think 1080 by 1900 ish. Its a 23 inch monitor. So 1 7870 is better than 2 6870s performance wise?
