Is GTS 460 a worthy upgrade from 240?

Ideally I would ged GTX 470, but that does not seem to be available. The 460 is available for a decent price does it mke it a good upgrade?

Do you have a good enough power supply to run a 460? It takes a good unit putting out 500-600 watts.
It is a huge improvement over a 240 though.
Whats your budget? There may be some newer cards that would be better for you. Also, tell us more about your system like cpu and ammount of ram. And most important, what power supply do you have?

If you PSU can handlle the 460 best bang for the $. Can be had at Tigerdirect for around $100 after MIR.

Regarding PSU, I was in the process of upgrading to a Corsair 650TX to accomodate the new GPU, but I am returning the Corsair (didn't power up), so I am back to square one for now.

+1. I myself would prefer the current generation over 2 generation old even at a small price premium. But this EVGA card here is a great bargain & cheaper than a 460 even. Good find.
