CPU Deal decision(i7)
Nov 29, 2012, 2:20 AM
I'm currently buying parts for a build that should be complete around the first week of January. Today I found two deals on CPU's:
SabrePC has the Core i7-3770K for 279.99 w/ free shipping
Amazon has the Core i7-2600K for 259.99 w/ free shipping
My question is should I hop on this, and if so which one, or should I wait to buy the CPU closer to the end of the build. Is there usually good sales at the beginning of the year?

Those prices are pretty good. I would get the 3770K because it's only $20 more and it's newer tech.

If you're going to be gaming then I don't know why you would get an i7? The performance of the i5 in gaming is so small that it's not even noticable.

It's going to be an all around desktop/media pc/gaming pc. I posted about this on reddit and they said that SabrePC is shady, anyone know about that?
EDIT: Nevermind, deals expired.
