Going to buy a new PSU, and wanting to know if a 400 watt would be fine? was looking to buy a new nice gfx card in 6 months, and wanted to make sure I got the right psu..

uhh I'm just wanting to play d3 on high settings, so I have to buy one of those crazy insane shooters gfx cards that require good psu to run d3 on high? but i'll prob get a 500 watt if i got to.

FOr only D3 6870 can handle it pretty easily i guess

after they upgrade cards, don't they have better cards that require less power? or will the watts keep going up every year or what? o.o

Sure newer cards require less power but not by the ammount you are hoping for. BTW, a 6870 needs a 500W power supply. You are not going to find many cards that are decent for playing games that require less than 500W. In D3, you need at least a 6850 or gtx 460 to play maxed at 1920x1080. There are only 5 adjustments you can make to the settings in D3 so you can't really clasify the settings as low/med/high/ultra. D3 is not very demanding as far as graphics and you are looking at 500w to power a gpu to run it maxed. I think you are making a big mistake if you go less than 500W.

ok cool thanks, i ordered a corsair 500 psu , 10% off and free shipping making it same price as the other cheap ones...

a bad psu will make ur comp freeze up right? i replaced my HDD cause i thought it was the problem, I took out my gfx card and it stopped freezing so i hope so! i'm gonna buy a new mobo/tower soon anyways...

thanks for the help.
