Hello,
I want to build a gaming computer for 500-600$
i need it to be able to run games like minecraft, tf2, LoL, just basic games i need it to at least run medium-high this would be my first build please help what parts do i need and is it hard to put together? oh and if i can build one that will run these games cheaper than 500-600 please let me know because the cheaper the better as long as it can run this kind of stuff on med thanks.

Solution
lol, for $500-600 that's no problem.

Try this build...
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/csUK

It'll easily run minecraft on fancy settings, lol. TF2 won't be any trouble either. If you want to drop the price a bit more, go with 4gb of RAM instead of 8gb. You can upgrade it later if you wish. Feel free to tweak some of those components if you desire. Hope this helps.

Putting one together is easy as pie, man. Nothing to it. Just take your time. I'll list a few links to some helpful tutorials below...

Here's a detailed tutorial:

Here's a three part tutorial from newegg.
Part 1:

Part 3:

Just follow any of these tutorials and you'll be just fine. Watch a few others if you're feeling nervous. That's what I'm doing, and I'm feeling pretty confident about building myself lol. Good luck!

the phenom ii x4 965 black is cheaper than the first build i gave you a link too. either of those builds would be great for playing minecraft or tf2. you could even play a few other titles such as bf3 or skyrim comfortably at medium to high settings.

Lol, not difficult at all. I haven't even got the parts for my PC yet. I'm just biding my time watching tutorials until I can get the parts. I consider myself fairly tech savvy. I've played around with taking my xbox apart and stuff. It's simple stuff. Sorry for all the split up and chaotic replies. Trying to give ya all the info I can :) Feel free to ask more questions if you're not understanding something...or not comfortable with it.

Well, my budget is gonna be in the $1200 range. I've already prepared my build and got the parts picked out for now. Just waiting for the cash to accumulate. :D
I'm looking to run Skyrim at max settings with numerous mods. Probably gonna be playing BF3 too.

Not by a longshot. I'm poor as they come bro. My dad barely makes $25,000 a year. Hardly any jobs where I live. I made great grades in highschool and was accepted by a four year university. Since I made those good grades...the government pays for my schooling. Due to the fact my parents make such little money, the government not only pays for my tuition and what not...they also give me nearly $2000 extra for 'other' expenses (books and what not). I typically have quite a bit left over that I save for various stuff. :D May end up waiting until black friday for sales and what not so I can save some cash.
