Monitor turned off

Hello,
i'm working from home today and using my work supplied laptop w/my home monitor as a dual screen system. while I was on a conference call, there was a power "blip" The laptop came back on but the desktop monitor is gone. No lights and the on/off switch isn't doing anything. I've unplugged an replugged the monitor. I turned the power strip on and off and i unplugged the monitor from the laptop and plugged it back in. Did my monitor just die?

if you cant get any response out of the monitor than chances are that its dead. did your power strip have a surge protector?

Some monitors have a microswitch where thepower cord plugs in and in the event of a power outage you need to pull the powercord out from the back of the monitor and then plug it back in before it will turn on once again.
