hey, just want to know what you guys would recommend for parts for a build in the budget of around $1600-$1700 with monitor, keyboard, mouse included etc. Core items would be a i7-3770k, a gtx 670, and any powersupply and motherboard that could run the the card in sli with slight overclocking in the future. also plan on overclocking the cpu alittle.
. thanks!

You probably don't need an i7 then for that kind of build. Try something like this:

Add whatever keyboard and mouse you want and you're good to go. I don't suggest those things as they're completely personal preference.

ok thanks! will the 750watt power supply be able to handle sli 670s in the future? and does the ssd improve performance enough justifying the $130 price or could the money be spent else where for more results.

Yeah the GTX 670 uses 1/2 the power that its' predecessors did - a 750W will be able to handle SLI easily.

Yes - the SSD is worth it on this type of build. On sub-$1K builds I don't suggest it because of the high cost per GB isn't justifiable, but on a $1200+ build - it is because you get more breathing room for your GPU.
