Hi all,

Is it possible to upgrade to one of the new I7 processors on this computer? Will the new chip fit in this PC?

currently have:

Sony
Model: VGC-LV150J
Intel core 2 duo E7200 (2.53GHZ)

Thanks in advance!

No. Those are two completely different CPU sockets. not to mention there would be compatibility issues with everything else.

Nope. Most laptops, especially low end ones, have CPUS already soldered to the motherboard for height, heat, and cost. To get one that can switch out, you have to get a very expensive, usually custom laptop.
