Dell optiplex760 sff

dell recommends 3 graphics card for the optiplex760 sff

256MB ATI RADEON HD 3450

256MB ATI RADEON HD 3470

256MB nVidia GeForce 9300 GE

the poblem is I cannot find what the power consumption is for each card, so I can compare to newer cards &

hopefully find a card that can perform better for this machine, any ideas?

HD3470 draws 29.7W under full load
Couldn't find anything on the 9300

Probably, but I guess it would depend on what psu you currently have and what it has to run in your system. I'm no power guru, and I tend to be alittle 'toolman tayorish' when it comes to psus' i.e. MORE POWER, lol. I tend to go for something thats 40-60% more than my minimum requirements for longevity and possible upgrades.

That machine has custom parts, one of which is the PSU, and I doubt you will be able to upgrade it easily. Your best bet is to buy something that isn't Dell or pre-manufactured.
