What would be a decent card to pair with a i3-2120

Hi, I built a i3-2120 computer a couple of months ago and didn't have enough money to get a graphics card at that time, so what I was wondering is if there were cards that you would recommend for me. I would like to keep the price around the neighborhood of about $150 but I can go a little higher if needed. Also is there any advantage of going with Nvidia over AMD? Like I know that AMD has eyefinity, and Nvidia has Physx, but is there any real advantage of going with one over the other? Thanks.

  1. We need more information before we can give you an informed suggestion/advice. What is your Power Supply Model? What are you going to be doing on your PC? [Most important to least]

At this point with what I know, I would highly recommend a 6850 or a 6870; sure they are from last generation, however they provide better performance for the money than what's available in the current lineup. They have also been around longer and therefore their drivers are much more mature.

XFX 6870 [You may go slightly over budget with this card but it offers great performance up to 1920 x 1080 Resolution and there's a $30 Rebate]

Here is a link to a 6850 vs 6870 benchmark, take a look and decide what's best for you.
