I apologize for sounding like a jerk. I was not being sarcastic when I said it was an awesome build.

However, I must point out that your build is not thrifty at all, which is why I assumed you had an unlimited budget. It's much closer to a comp builder's dream build. In addition to that, your budget will not allow you to use all of those parts.

Here's a build much closer to your budget.

CPU: i7-3930k $560
Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 $83
Mobo: AsRock x79 Extreme 4 $232

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Green 2 TB $138
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX680 SuperClocked $525
Case: Thermaltake Level 10 GT Snow Edition $269
PSU: PC Power & Cooling 950W $100...

Total $$2218.15 after MIR

I chose the 680 over the 690 because the difference in price can't be justified by the small difference in performance. You could also SLI two 670s to get the same performance 690.
The PSU will support dual 680 GPU and some OC.
The price of the case is excessive, but I kept it because you seem to like it. My general recommendation is to spend no more than $150.
