Hello,
i have just got a new asrock 960gm-gs3 fx mobo and amd sempron cpu i have put it together but when i start pc the heat sink fan spins but thats it no hard drives start and nothing on the monitor, what could it be?

What heat sink are you using and how do you have it installed?

i am using the heat sink that come with the pcu and it is installed the way it says in the book

I was thinking the CPU fan might be shorting out the motherboard but that doesn't appear to be the case. Does your motherboard have onboard video?

yes i have my monitor pluged in to it but i trid my igabyte grahics card as well. i cant even hear my hard drive start up

I can't imagine that would be the problem. Do you have all your motherboard pins set correctly including 24-pin power, 8-pin voltage, and case headers?
