OC FX 6100 for gaming

Hey guys,

So I was recently told that in build ( AMD FX 6100/ EVGA 650 / GigaByte 970a-Ds3/ 8GB corsair vengeance@1333mhz) The 650 was the bottleneck, I asked how I could slightly boost system performance without new hardware an Overclocking was brought up.

I am worried about this because I only have a stock cooler and I know nothing of the voltages and stuff( 6100 runs at 3.3 Ghz)

Thanks,

PS
I might get some $$$ for Christmas so If I do should I get a new GPU? ( might just switch over to ATi)

If your gpu is bottlenecking overcloking the cpu wont help at all.

I don't know why but they did. On every E-store they make no mention of SLI and if you look at these close up's there is no SLI "finger" on the PCB.

These are all different models from different partners but they are all GTX 650 Ti's and as you can see there is no finger for SLI.

This is a close up of the 650, again no extension for SLI.

However if you look at the 660 and 660 Ti they are listed as SLI ready.
