My EVGA 9800GTX KO just popped and I need to replace it. I've found some good used deals and need advice on which will result in better performance. I can get two nVidia 9800 GT's to put in SLI, or one EVGA GTS 450. Both are $60. Which will give me the best gaming performance?

I'd go with the single card honestly. SLI scaling for such old cards isn't that great and will be prone to issues...

Check your EVGA warranty first . See what they will replace it with.
9800Gt SLI is 10 to 20% faster than a GTS450 in games that support SLI but will be much slower in games that dont.
Plus as mentioned above SLI CAN be a real pain with micro stuttering and sometimes just getting it to work properly.
And last will your power supply power 9800s in SLI?

Thanks for the answer! I marked Rick's as 'best' since it was a tad more complete.
