I have problem with some bad memory. I have (2) 256 MB rimms and (2) 64 MB rimms. At least one of the 256 rimms is bad because it spontaneously reboots when I open enough programs. The (2) 64s work flawlessly.
My question is: Can I mix a 256 with a 64 as a pair to see which Rimm is bad? I hoping it would come up as 2 64s but I'm afraid I'll ruin the good memory.

You must install the memory modules in equally sized pairs. You should also ensure they are all PC800.
