GeForce GTX 525M vs ATI Mobility Radeon Hd 6490M

Hi,
I am Buying a new laptop. I have seen the specs between different models.Now i hv only 1 confusion only that is
Should i buy a laptop with GeForce GTX 525M (1GB) or laptop with ATI Mobility Radeon Hd 6490M (1GB).
P.S: i am a newbie and will start playing games (like COD MW,GTA 4 etc) on my new lappy :)

if you do a little research you would find that geforce chip is better than the raedeon in benchmarks

many of my friends are also suggesting me Geforce. i think i should go with GForce.tnx every1.
I also remember whenever i goto computer market people ask for GeForce not ATI, so i am going with GeForce :)

Yes. The difference is 2-3C. It's just an excuse that AMD Radeon fanboys use to ditch nvidia.

Ah, got here late, hahaha.

To take the performance of the GT525M into perspective... The next card is the GT540M, which is just a higher clocked version of the GT525M and which both are the successor of the GT425M in terms of naming.

IMO, for mobile gaming, the GT540M is the best P/P for around USD$800 by far.

Yes it does heat a little more, but if you go with Asus, believe me it won't be an issue.

If you'd like, go take a close look at the Asus N53 series. By far the best notebook IMO for a portable gaming device. I had one and it's one hell of a deal.
