YES!
even though it is 4 more amps on the 12 volt, 48 watts, it has two 6+2 PCI power connections.
didn't know those where also with a mail in rebate, nice find.
intel beats amd at most price points other than the <500 rigs. if you are to get intel right now, you will have to get intel pentiums which are a heck of a lot faster than current APUs but you will always have to get another video card because the onboard stuff is not suited for anything other than MS word, source games, and low power tasks

Thats good but its 487$ before rebates and thats out of the budget do you think /i can take a bit off the card? the motherbroad is not on amazon p.s. can it overclock with a heatsink?

just get the board off of newegg.

there is no overclocking and no expansion possible.

the video card will get you high/ultra settings and fo 139.99, it is a very good deal. you can shave 20 bucks off of it to get a 550ti or a 6850 but you will need to downgrade game settings to medium/high

only the high end "K" model CPU's overclock. Troll's build is very nice the only thing i would change is jumping to a G850/60/70 CPU so that the system could use the 1333Mhz Memory and have a higher clock rate. the G5xx/6xx series CPU memory controller only supports 10600.

from THG System Builder Marathon, June 2012: $500 Gaming PC:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-pc-do-it-yourself-geforce-gtx-560,3216-15.html

"While the gaming potential of our entry-level dual-core chip is worthy of respect, it’s important to remember that its 2.4 GHz clock rate is all you'll ever get from it. Instead, we think that today’s build deserves, at the very least, a step up to Intel's Pentium G850. The extra $38 is a wise investment for anyone looking to duplicate out efforts"

Caution - looniam's build uses a lot of MIR's, so the initial cost will be much more

its a good budget build though. I would go with a different MB (still has SATA6g and USB 3.0) and G850 CPU though (higher clockrate and better memory controller to use the DDR3 1333 ram, the G630 only uses 10600 ram.
