Hello,
Here is the comparison on intel website. I use Adobe CS5 alot!!! What processor should I go with on my HP and it will not have liquid cooling.

The 3770k shows maybe about 5% advantage over the 3820. The ivy birdge e wich will focus on 8 cores is the way to go so 3820.

I know this thread is over a year old but I'm in the market for a 2nd gen Core i7 (I'll be buying it used I'm sure) I've spent a lot of time looking at the Ark site and love the side by side comparisons. The ONE thing in your comparison that I noticed FIRST is that the 3820 Sandy uses TWICE as much power as the 3770 Ivy. and yeah the Ivy is newer and is more apt to effectively implement/deploy/step cores than it's Sandy Bridge Socket G2 conterpart. Old thread, good info!
