Hello,
I am looking at a G630 w/GPU pairing for max/min op with 1440 @ 900 res.. I do not require any other Hardware ( all specs are sufficent). PS will handle all I require. Please do not reccomend anything outside H/W I am going to purchase! What do you all suggest as a GPU pairing w/ the above mentioned CPU? I will later upgrade said CPU.

For your G630 I think maybe a 6770 will be good. Maybe even a 7770. You did not mention your budget tho

What are you using this for? If you are just watching videos, etc, then just use the onboard IGP found in the G630. If you are wanting to game then something like the 6770, 6850, or GTX460/560 should be alright. Then again if you are upgrading the CPU later you might want to buy the GPU for that CPU now.

Yeah: What are you planning on doing?
7770 is a solid card. So is the 460... 7770 works on a good power and performance budget...

MSI NVIDIA N550GTX-Ti Cyclone II will be agood option, its a handy card along with a great cooling system.
I m using the card now, its great and recently its price dropped down (in India) so its a great value for money too..

Well that's for gaming right. I recommend 6870 Maximum.

What CPU are you using? It shouldn't be a very old cpu, if you don't want a bottleneck. That is, if you're going to get a mid-high end GPU.
For 1440X900, 7770 is fine, or maybe even a GTX 460/560.

orry I havent't replied, been on vacation, nice to not have on-line access for a while sometimes! I do play games, but only old school single player or some newer such as Skyrim and Witcher 2. No on-line MMO games. I will not be upgrading monitor, this ole 19"er is enough for me. My budget is probably no higher than $130 at the moment, I have always bought my PC components on the downslope since I do not require the latest and greatest ( I prefer the tested tried and true components at the lowest cost). Which CPU I am using now has no impact on my original question! I will be pairing a G630 or now a possible G860 w/the previously asked pairing . My possible upgrade path would ideally be a Quad IB later, if prices are right (remember I will/do not buy the latest and greatest, I stay behind the curve. Save money that way and still get the job done.). Thanks for the current and future responses!!!

What CPU you have does matter. You wouldn't want to pair a $130 GPU with an old Athlon 4800x2 for example. (Or a P4D 840)

Seeing as you want to be gaming I'd get a GPU. 5770 or 6770 should easily fit in the budget, the 6850 might be doable. More so if you can handle a rebate. You might be able to find a GTX460 at that price as well. (I got mine used for $95. The good 1GB/256bit one.) Not sure if nvidia has any good options that low. You are usually looking at the GTX550TI which isn't really any better then the 6770. GTX560 maybe.

Why would what I have now impact the the fact that I want to pair a GPU with the G630?
