More about upgrade
  1. The most important part in a gaming build is the gpu. That said I think you can upgrade your gpu and the other parts for about $500.

    cpu - amd phenom ii x4 965 3.4ghz $110 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727
    mobo - asus m4a87td evo $106 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131647
    gpu - xfx double d hd 6870 $160 after mir http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150521
    ram - g.skill ripjaws x 8gb(2x4gb) $46 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428
    hdd - samsung 500gb $70 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152181
cpu cooler - cm hyper 212 plus $20 after mir http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065
total of $512 after the two mir but shipping is included in the total.
  2. More bang from Intel right now.
  3. Yep, a G850 will even outperform the x4 965.
  4. Well I really dislike intel and I was already thinking about x4 965 so I think I will choose this one. But I was thinking if there is good mobo like asus m4a87td evo but with am3+ so comp can be upgraded in future to bulldozer cpu?
  5. Here are two am3+ that look good.
    asus m5a99x evo 990x $115 after mir http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131754
    asus m5a97 970 $95 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131767

I'd go with the 990x but if you want to save a little money go with the 970.
  6. I love AMD too but the numbers are just lopsided right now. With that being said, the x4 blacks are $99 right now at Newegg. Grab one, OC and have fun!

    AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor HDZ965FBGMBOX
