Hello,

I am very new to nVidia and Intel. I was an AMD fanboy for the longest time because of how cheap it was. I said oh to hell with it and went to my local micro store and bought a bunch of new stuff

CPU: ivybridge i5 3570k (Was on sale :D)

GPU: Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 670 with Windforce 3x fan

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H

CASE: Cooler Master HAF 912

What I'm bringing over is what I'm concerned about. I paid em 50 bucks to do everything for me so I left my computer there, im also getting a new case, I didnt wanna bollocks it all up.

I have a Corsair TX 650w :

Will that be enough to power my new system? The dude asked me what psu I had in there and he sad eh, you might want to go a bit higher, but maybe he was overestimating the power it takes to run the 670? I went to this power supply calculator thing I found linked on the forum here and it said all I needed was like 410. Its making me a bit nervous, I guess I just want someone to make my mind at ease.

I'm bringing over some ddr3 G.Skill ram as well, 4gb worth (two sticks) I may go to 8gb in the future but I Dont see the reason right now just for gaming. Never seen use over 3.5 gb. Hopefully this will work okay with my new mobo, I believe they were 1000+ something mhz o_o

I'm also bringing over my Coolermaster Hyper 212+ heatsink I was using on my amd 955. WIll this work well and keep my ivybridge nice and cool? I hear it has heat problems.

Secondly, what do you think of my new case and my new rig all together? Can anyone give me a rating from 1-10 what they think of my new rig?

thank you!

A 650W is more than enough for 1x 3570K and 1x GTX 670. Don't worry at all.

I have that case myself. Great budget case. I don't like spending too much on the case, so the 912 was perfect for me. Good choice imo.

For the parts that you listed I'd say 10/10.

Great thanks for the reassurance. Im a hardcore computer gamer and I work from home on it as well so Im a little anxious to get my baby back (Lol)

I figured it was a great case!, 2 120mm fans, cord management, and it was on instant rebate I think I saved 20 bucks. Hows the airflow?
