Hello, I am planning on buying this computer from a guy on Craigslist and I wanted to know what the capabilities are of the build. Here are the specs:

custom desktop computer with window 7 64 bit
Comes with new speaker, mouse and keyboard. all you need is a monitor

Power supply
400 watt power supply

CPU
Intel Dual core Pentium D 2.8 ghz

Memory
4 gb RAM

Hard drive
80gb hard drive

DVD drive

Video card
Nvidia GT 210 with 1gb ddr ram

Antivirus
AVG anti-virus software.

He said he would upgrade the video card to a EVGA GTS 8800

ALSO, my friends and I are looking to get an Alienware Laptop from another guy on Craigslist. It is a Alienware Area 51 mx15x. How well does this run games? And is the OS upgradeable to Windows 7 Ultimate?

lmao that computer is horrid.

Pentium D is terrible. It's 2012, if your going to buy a used computer it better be Quad Core.

80GB hard drive? LOL. You can have maybe 4 modern games on that. No music or anything else.

GT 210 horrid video card.

AVG the worst anti-virus. He won't even reformat the computer for the buyer?

400 watt power supply, nothing should be under 500 for a gaming PC.

8800 is an ancient card.

Alienware computers are overpriced and terrible.

hope this helps.

link me the craigslists page.

$100 for that is a good price yes. Something must be wrong with it though.

Up your budget another $200 if you want to play games on decent settings.

Computers are affordable now. The one you posted in the original topic is worth maybe $60 tops.

Alienware computers are not worth it period.
