Soundcard for Dell Inspiron 580s

Hello ppl,
I'm planning to buy a Yamaha YHT-196 which I want to connect to my PC. My PC has an on-board 5.1 sound card. I'm curious to know would it be wiser to buy a new sound card or is it okay to connect it to the on-board sound card. What would be a better option?

For less workload on the chipset, buy a sound card, you will also be able to get a higher quality than the embedded chips. If you're strapped for money, work with what you have.
