Is 912 enough, or will it be too hot?

These cases are on the bleeding edge of your budget, but they are all very much worth it. You can go down the Coolermaster HAF line or Corsair range without compromising too much.

Corsair Carbide 400R. $100

The HAF 912 is a good case, temperature wise there isn't too much difference between cases. Its mainly features like cable management, front panel I/O, hot swappable bays and # of HDD bays that make some cases better than others.

I'll be buying Haf912 because its cheap and great looking. Since I'am not going to 3-way SLI Haf912 is just fine for me.
