More about minimum 4100 quad core processor
  1. As long as you don't use a stand alone video card or try to overclock the system, your current 250w PSU will be fine.
  2. Well tell us all the specs and model of PSU
  3. It should run without a hitch for that setup as your processor is the only major power drawing component. However, would not hurt to let us know your power supply mode as prototype18 has said, you may have a bad power supply that may not put out 250 watts. Such can be some cheap chinese brand power supply or one of those lemon units.
  4. It's iball LPE223-400 I even am not sure whether it is 250 w or not please tell me...
  5. Is this it?

Looks like its 400 watts, so you should be golden. However it could also be 250 watts since some websites claim that and the rails on the power supply tell a different story. Either way you should be good with that setup but I would advise upgrading to a quality power supply when you get the money.
  6. No its not that its old about 4-5 years old
  7. Well the CPU needs 8Amp and ~90W.Ram 10-16W Hdd 15 Dvd 25W.

So yes it will as soon as you dont add a GPU.

If you do u will need a new PSU.

    hmmm....
i have a damaged dvd drive which is able to read but it fails to write cd or dvd so should i disconnect it???
  9. Hey,
I used to have that crappy IBall PSU. The menace died and even took away my Motherboard alongwith it.

Better get a good PSU. I replaced it with Corsair CX430 V2 for 2.5k INR. To save some bucks you could also get the Corsair VS450 albeit with lesser efficiency.
  10. I'd recommend the Antec VP-450, though the CX-430 is around the same price, I believe the VP-450 is slightly better in terms of quality. Let us know a website that ships to your place and we can all look for suitable power supply given YOU want to replace it. I would agree with mihir94 that brand is not the best.

    +1
  12. Can I run it on 250w for some days????
    I don't have a rupee currently!!!!
    N ya btw I shop from flipkart.com
  13. and here is the VP-450!

You could go with either the VP-450 or CX-430 they are both great and exceed your required power supply consumption. Anyways if that power supply does go on fire then make sure you think economically and cook something while the flame lasts  (just joking around).
  14. thanxx guys 4 all ur advises!!!

    i purchased this:
    Intel i3 3220 @3.30 Ghz..

hmm experiencing gr8 difference in the performance!!!
seriously cant even compare wid my old pentium D 820!!!! :o :o
  20. Well not so hard to know that its better than that. But PSU dsnt affect the performance of the PC .Its just the quality that delivers the best power to the components. So you wont notice a diferrence within 2 different good PSU.

Just that PSU that you choosed its not a good one. It dsnt deliver that W and you cant upgr your system w/o replacing it !
