Any recommendations for a cpu around 100 bucks now?

I'm planning to upgrade my gear from my old amd x4 2.8g with gts 250.
I already got a MSI G7770 1GB, which is not really meets my expectation. I was thinking about getting a FX 6300, since I got a AM3+ board. I was concerned after reading some negative reviews about FX 6000 series that these cpus are not optimized well under load. So I'm just wondering if anybody has any suggestion about a cpu around 100 bucks that performs well on gaming. Thx.

  1. Yea people been telling me too the FX series isn't worth it so i just bought (this minute) an AMD 965 BE Computer

i'd recommend AMD Phenom II X4 965 or 955 at that price it would work well with your 7770, im using a 6870 which is just a bit stronger than yours but i've had a few recommends from the AMD 965 and it's reviews are not too bad.

955 is only a bit stronger than my 810, you think it's worth it to upgrade to 955 or 965?
