hi everyone,

Im planning to build a new rig very soon and I have two options. one is this bundle here http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB...

and the other is buying these two products;
gigabyte 990FXA-UD5 AMD 990FX (Socket AM3 ) DDR3 Motherboard

Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-15000C9 1866MHz Dual Channel Kit

and choosing an amd cpu, which is very hard .... maybe a bulldozer or a piledriver, but the thing is ... somehow certain AMDs are horrible ... ie: not many games supports and 8 core cpus. I have seen benchmarks where and I3 is faster then an 8 core amd.

but on the other hand, the amd system has 1866 mhz memory and a really good mobo ...

Im a gamer btw, and Im using an ati 7950

thanks !

If your worried about games, the 7950 has that covered. However, if you want a better gaming PC then get the i3, but if you do average gaming and just want a good all around computer, then go AMD. The AMD
Phenom II X4 965 BE ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... ) is very cheap and does compete with the i3 processors, but sadly will not be as good.

thanks for the reply, but i3 is cheap I can afford the pay more then that fortunately :)  the rig I mentioned has really high quality mobo and nice mhz memory, but on the other hand I have the bundle http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU... which is great but Im not very satisfied with the mobo some how ... but its 4.20 Ghz i7 after all :)  and 16 gig mem .. any opinion ?
