Hi guys,

Very new to this so please forgive any mistakes. I'm a very avid FSX player but do not play whole lot of other games on PC. In the past, I've relied on pre-built Dell machines for use. However, I recently purchased a new Dell XPS 8500 to help run FSX better. But, I have plans on some additions and want an opinion, please.

My Build:

-3rd Gen Intel Core i7-3770 processor 3.40 GHz with Turbo Boost 2.0 up to 3.90 GHz

-16GB DDR3 SDRAM AT 1600MHZ (Came with 8GB but bought 8GB more through Kingston)

-1.5TB SATA Hard Drive 7200 RPM

-Came with AMD Radeon HD 7570 1GB GDDR5 but purchased XFX Double D HD-695X-CDFC Radeon HD 6950 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 separately to upgrade

- Also bought new PSU - XFX Core Edition PRO750W (P1-750S-NLB9) 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

I don't believe I'm missing any other major components, but if I did, please let me know and I can provide it.

Does this seem like a good system that will run FSX well, along with potentially other games like BF3.

Thanks for any feedback.

Should be nice. Tons of CPU. You could have stayed with 8GB, but 16GB will not hurt you. 6950 very nice upgrade over 7570!! Power supply is plenty and then some.

You are missing a part though. You need a nice gaming mouse. grin. enjoy.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm looking forward to this new machine, especially since it is only $500 out of my pocket. :) Ready to get some serious flying in on FSX.
