Amd phenom ii x4 965 be vs intel core 13 3220 for gaming and skype??

which processor is better for playing games (the i3 or phenom II) and meanwhile have skype or google chrome stand in the background? I've been reading alot of forums but none of them stands on what is best for gaming and skype. At my older PC game lagged Because Of skype. (older build Liano a6-3500 nvidia gt 140 4 gb ddr2) so what should I take and please also for the CPU that the best is a good motherboard for the processor. the phenom is in my country ~100$ and the i3 ~120$

windows 7 hp 64-bit

So which one is the best?
and which one is better for futuristic upgrades?

The Phenom is a quad core so in essence it should handle multi tasking better. I have a 970 and that's fine for gaming, I can run FSX (CPU Dependent) with Chrome, Skype and Steam in the background with the CPU still running fine. If I were you, I'd go AMD.

The i3-3220 in spite of being a dual core beats the x4 965 be in gaming and other stuff and has a lower power consumption.
I3-3200 gets my recommendation.

Okay, I think I'll go for the phenom since in my country it is cheaper. Does anyone know a good mobo for this cpu?
