Hi,

Not long built a high end desktop PC running windows 7. Mobo is Asus P8Z68-V intel chipset Z68. In cmd my processor architecture is AMD64 but my processor is intel64 (i5) should I have gone for a AMD processor. Is this a design fault I should lookout for in future?

Solution
Buddy, AMD64 means your processor is 64 bit. AMD was first to do 64 bit, so they really got their name all over the standard. Don't worry about it - just means your processor has the latest data width.
