HD 6870 (PCI-E 2.0) on 1.0 Slot

Hey all,

As the title suggests, I'm wondering about using a HD 6870 in a GA-P31-DS3L, which has a single x16 PCI-E slot that only supports rev. 1.0 cards. Apparently the cards are backwards compatible... but would I suffer a great performance hit in this case? (In fact, is my current HD 4850 experiencing bottlenecking in this manner?)

Regards,
- HateDread.

No the performance hit isn't much(around 5-10% depending on the game and the resolution you play at)
  2. Yes it will work, and no it is not bottlenecking.
