Can one power plug is enough for starting the computer.

It is possible that we don't need a power plug of monitor means there is only one power plug which is of CPU .When we supply the power to the CPU then automatically monitor will get power from its attached plug to the port of CPU.

no. you need to connect the 8pin cpu power header to the motherboard 8pin power plug, the 24pin atx motherboard connecter, and all the power you need for the graphics cards and all the peripherals

the monitor needs its own power supply. the display port doesnt provide any power
