More about need picking intel
  1. If it fits your budget. Intel is the leader in gaming. If it doesn't a nice budget system can be built around amd.
  2. If anything you may wanna wait for the release of Piledriver based AMD Athlons. The Athlons are a trusted budget CPU that are good for gaming, multimedia, everyday use, and they come in quad core packages so gaming performance on them is pretty decent. Some, like the expected 750K can be overclocked. But this processor has yet to be released yet, but upon release, it's expected to be around/under 100$.
  3. whats ur budget
  4. Uh for the motherboard and cpu no more than 300-400
  5. This is for overclocking and gaming

    CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($214.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V LE ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($149.99 @ Newegg)
    Total: $364.98

  6. If you do not plan to overclock

    CPU: Intel Core i5-3470 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($199.99 @ Newegg)
    Motherboard: ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($87.55 @ Newegg)
    Total: $287.54

  7. If your budget is that high definetly go intel. The closest AMD processor to the i5 3570k is the FX 8350 and the single thread performance (the most importiant part for gaming) isnt as good as Intel. Granted, there is something inherently cool about overclocking your 8 core AMD CPU to 5ghz but from a purely gaming standpoint Intel wins. (For now)
  8. Thanks that was really helpful
