Hi All,

Recently I built a new gaming pc and now running a benchmark test in 3Dmark11

System: HD 7850 2G (OC version)+ 3570K (non-OC) + 8G RAM + Win7 64bit

Basic tests in 3Dmark11 (free-version):

3DMarks: P5644
Graphics Score: 5452
Physics Score: 6652
Combined Score: 5863

I couldn't find any 3Dmark11 socres done in basic version for HD 7850....

So I wonder if any of you have the benchmark test scores for your HD 7850 with the similar system...

Are they within the reasonable range?

then I will know if my PC is running fine.

Thanks.
Regards
D

They seem fine. I got the following scores with my GTX 560 Ti, which is just below HD 7850 in performance:

3DMarks: P5644
Graphics score: 5395
Physics score: 7816
Combined score: 5279

Note, I'm running overclocked 2500k, that's why my physics score is higher.

They do look fine,

Also, if you scroll down on your result page, there should also be a graph of similar systems. Then you can see where you fall in the lineup of similar configurations.

Thanks for your reply. Is your 560Ti 1G or 2G version?

I dont know why there is only such tiny difference between 7850OC and 560Ti in graphics score...

Maybe some optimisation has to be done to my 7850 or what....

Really disappointed with the scores compared to what I expected.....

Which 7850 card have you got Deisler and running at what clocks? Here are my MSI TF3 OC scores at stock 900/4800, with 2500K at 3.8Ghz:

P5680 - http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3569056

Fairly similar to what your getting. I used to have a 1GB GTX560 ti and the 7850 is much better in my opinion, especially when overclocked a bit further. Mine is watercooled, so I can overclock it pretty far and push my score well over 7000:

Mine is Sapphire 2GB 7850 OC..

I was wondering if my system wasnt optimised so if you have similar scores then it is OK to me....

Thanks..

BTW: I am trying to OC my CPU so hopefully the performance will go up further.

You can overclock your GPU as well. You'll see a much greater graphics benefit from overclocking your GPU. Just because it comes pre-overclocked, doesn't mean it has reached it maximum potential :)

I use Sapphire Trixx to overclock my Sapphire 7970 and it is really easy to use. You can change clock, memory clock, power control settings, and voltage. You can also set custom fan profiles to control temps.

Another good utility is MSI afterburner.
