More about need reliable
  1. What's your budget? -And why "no more than 700w"?
  2. Any Seasonic unit that is SLI Certified is 'reliable'.
    - If you're only going for 2 cards you could go much less than 650 watts btw.
  3. Tell us your set up then we will tell you if 700w is enough
  4. Setup--> http://pcpartpicker.com/ca/p/r4Ds gonna get a 2nd 7970 as soon as I can afford it
    Also gonna do alot of OC to CPU & GPU to both cards.

    Monitor: 1920x1080 120hz

    So yeah i'm gonna most likely need more than 750W.
  5. You'll be fine with a quality 600W imo.

    Like an x650 maybe?

    I didn't see that :??:

    thats an absolutely awesome price for the PCP&P. Made by OCZ which is made by SeaSonic iirc.

    Yeah i mean he would be fine with a 850W but because all cost around the same as that 950W i would get it. :D

    He'd probably be fine a 800w too imo. Two 7970s would draw about ~580W under load. Add another ~200 for an over volted 3570K, throw in a couple of fans And Hdds he get up to about 800W.

    Edit 2: If cards are OC'd. So I was wrong, You'd definitely need a 850w min for that.

    Yeah, excellent quality PSU. Only thing I dislike about it is that it isn't modular. But that won't stop me from getting it, even though my cable management is HORRIBLE. Also drops the price quite a bit. :3

    Is the Seasonic 850W 80 Plus Gold better than my http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703028&nm_mc=AFC-C8junctionCA&cm_mmc=AFC-C8JunctionCA-_-Power+Supplies-_-PC+Power+and+Cooling-_-17703028&AID=10592396&PID=3938566? Remember, I am def going to OC my CPU to the highest and my GPU quite a bit. Crossfire aswell, but that's not for a while, I just don't want to buy a new psu when the time comes. :3
