PowerColor HD 6950 displayport audio

Does anyone have any real world experiences using this card's displayports with audio? I am curious if it actually supports it or not? In my sound settings, I have a AMD high Def Audio Device.. however it only lists the HDMI jack in there?

This card is a PowerColor 6950 with the bios for a 6970, although I don't think that should make much of a difference?

This may happen if you are using a passive display port to HDMI adapter. I don't know about your specific card but this happened to me once when I setup a 6670 for a friend. But sound should still come out through the HDMI cable. Not sure if this applies to your situation but maybe it does.
