Compaq presario sleep mode

Hello,my compaq presario S0000 desktop does not boot up, the monitor simply displays "going to sleep". The lights on the keyboard flash once, the power on light on the front of the desktop flashes once, the drive active led stays on. All fans are working. What can I do?

Try resetting the bios to default; with the power supply unplugged, remove the side cover and the motherboard battery by pressing a small flathead screwdriver against a small tang that holds it in place (round button battery cr2032). Then reinstall the battery and cover and turn on your pc. You may have to press an "f" key to enter the bios at the post screen. You may check the boot order (cd>hardrive) and hardware monitor section (enable smartfan or similar setting), press f10 to save and exit.
