Hello there, i decided to upgrade my pc this upcoming week and i need some help with making sure all of the items i've chosen will work nicely together.

I already have a HDD and a graphics card so all i need is a CPU, PSU, RAM, Motherboard and a Chassi.

I've followed the model posted in the rules:

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: this week

Budget Range: 600-800

System Usage : Design, Photo Editing, Gaming

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: CPU, PSU, RAM, Motherboard, Chassi

Do you need to buy OS: No

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: None, only need advice for hardware

Location: City, State/Region, Country - Stockholm, Sweden

Parts Preferences: Intel, i7 CPU

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 2560 x 1440

Additional Comments: I would like a quiet PC that is good for not only photo editing but gaming as well. Something that will last a while for the intermediate user.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Most parts of my computer is outdated and needs to be upgraded in order for my work and lifestyle to proceed smoothly.

Include a list of any parts you have already selected with descriptively labeled links for parts. Please do not post only links.

---------------------------------------------------------

My current hardware that i'm going to keep (HDD and GPU) is: WD 500GB Black Caviar, Sapphire Radeon HD 5670 512MB.

I have a pretty slim space available for my setup so a HTPC case in the microATX format would be perfect for me. I don't play games that are very gfx heavy, and i think my current graphic card would suffice.

Do you think this is a fair upgrade and will it do everything i need it to do?

Thanks, /Daniel

You say you are not a gamer..then why the 600W PSU may be a tight fit in that case since the the more wattage they have the longer they are. You got a real high end motherboard there, I would protect that investment with a PSU with a higher 80 PLUS rating, regular 80 PLUS PSU's have bad eggs no matter the brand. Every things else you got checks out.
