Hello! I added some components to my computer a while ago and everything has been running like a dream!
Until today..Randomly this morning my computer shut down and booted into some page that said something like "Asus Surge Protection has turned off your computer to prevent damage etc". Basicly what im wondering is if its safe to turn off this power surge thing and ignore this since im kind of tight on the economy now and I cant buy another PSU.
Like I said this happened first time ever today 2 times during the whole day.
ASUS Z77-V LX Motherboard
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Processor Cooler
ATI Radeon Sapphire 6950 GPU
Corshair 550W PSU (3-4 Years old)
When I build my computer I asked here and was told that 550W from a brand like corshair would be enough for my stuff but maybe its a malfunction?
One thing to note is that its currently a snowstorm here and tonight the power went down completely in the building, dont know if that could have any effect now afterwards.
