Hi,

While using Asus GPUTweak, I pressed on profile #1 button (on the lower section of GPUTweak). My computer rebooted instantly and since then my Matrix 580 isn't detected by windows, and I can't get any signal (no signal even while booting). It's like if it was dead, but physically it looks ok (lights and fans are on).

I never configured the overclocking profile, so I don't know what settings were on that first profile (my mistake to click on it..). My second card (i use SLI) is a gigabyte 580 and still works fine.

I tried to use the safe button (holding it until i get to windows), but the side led doesn't light up like I read it should. When I get to windows, the card isn't detected so GPU Tweak doens't try to reset the Bios.

Is there any other way to get the default settings back? Am I using the safe button correctly? Any tests I should do to verify if the card is still functionnal?

Thank you!

Hi

I didn't think GPUTweak could make permanent changes to the graphics card's BIOS but that's what it sounds like it has done.
If I were you I'd get hold of a ASUS Matrix GTX580 BIOS (Techpowerup may have one) then flash the graphics card, that will reset the BIOS back to stock settings.

If it still doesn't work then it could be dead, I'd test it in another PC if possible to verify.

I followed the instructions and my card isn't listed when I use "nvflash --list".

I guess it is bad sign!

What will you be looking for in a picture? My second GTX 580 works with the system.

I believe you can force the flash, although I've forgotten the command...

I think you can force a flash on a card, but it has to be detected in orther to receive a new BIOS.

So I get no signal from the card, and nvflash doesn't see it.

What's left to do? Any other tools to diagnose those kind of problems?

Thank you!

If its not detected by Windows or nVflash I would try the card in another PC if possible.

Is the card under warranty?

It is not detected in another PC.

For the warranty, i'll check but I bought the card last summer.... I wonder what kind of warranty Asus offers for graphic cards.
