Very low FPS on my GTX570?
My system is a quad core i7 at 3.2 Ghz, SSD with windows 7 64bit. My graphics card is a MSI GTX570 with up to date drivers. I have 12 Gb of DDR3 ram at 1866Mhz. When I try to play a game like skyrim or crysis on high graphics I get about 5-10 FPS. No mods are installed and I am running these games through steam. My system used to be able to play these games on ultra at 60FPS and im not sure what happend?

Lowering my graphics settings is not an option for me. I didnt spend a grand on a PC that can only play games on low to medium settings.

Run OCCT GPU test and monitor temps and voltages ....program will graph them for you.

I suspect heat issues.....blown the dust out lately ?

I have msi afterburner running and my temps never reach above 60 degrees C. Thats with a custom fan control. I have to go to work now for 8 hours. When i come home ill run that OCCT thing and post the results. Hopefully you kind gents will be able to help me more. Thanks!

So how would you like me to run this program? I have never used it before.

It seems that MSI afterburner was the cause of the problem. All i did to resolve it was uninstall then reinstall it.
Thanks for all the help though!
