1st off I would like to say hello, I've been using this site for awhile now and got a lot of answers from just reading through threads. I've been having an issue for the past few months, and I figured this would be the best place to ask for help. **Warning pretty long and descriptive post**
Ok... So a few years back I purchased an HP p6310y ( http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01... ) and it's worked wonders for me so far... when I initially purchased it I put an Antec 650w PSU in there and purchased an ati radeon HD4650 GPU for a slight boost for gaming. My intentions were pretty much to grab a pc that had decent specs (at the time) and make it into a pretty cheap half prebuilt half custom gaming PC. So far everything i've played has worked beautifully up until recently. Up until about 2-3 months ago I was playing Aion, DC Universe, CoD Black Ops, S4 League, Alice Madness Returns, Blacklight Retribution, SWTOR (Beta), Blade&Soul, and a few other like titles with no serious fps latency with all of those games I was holding a good minimum of 60fps If there wasn't a lot of things on my screen SWTOR would boost to 110-120 fps but once I started moving around populated areas it would drop to around 40-50, and playing on medium-high settings except for blacklight i had to play on all lowest settings to get 60fps.
I started working with Blender 3D to do a few projects and got hired for a construction company to do a 3D model of a neighborhood for them that they just purchased the land. Now they wanted it to "look as real as possible" so i figured, well since i'm using blender 3D let me try LuxRenderer since both are open source and it will cut my overall investment cost. I realized that I needed a GPU upgrade in order to use Lux so I notified my employer and they sent me an Asus NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560. I figured it should work with my current machine without needing to really do any upgrades.
After looking at the hp site's specs and the mobo specs, and talking with a few individuals that also had machines with the same athalon ii X4 630 proc and they said that particular video card should work just fine, my concern was that since the machine was initially a prebuilt the proc speed was locked at 2.8ghz, so i couldn't really overclock it manually and I'm not one that's 2 trusting about using 3rd party software to do the job. I've also never overclocked any of my machines prior because I just didn't have the need to.
When I put the new vid card in my machine, I tried to update the drivers and was having a few issues, when I checked around I noticed that a lot of people were having the same exact problem with the particular drivers with this same card so I just rolled back to the drivers that came on a cd with the vid card. The issues I was having (Green bar on the top of streaming videos, screen going fully pink and locking up but could still hear sound and interact with my machine, never got a BSOD so I figured I was lucky at this point) completely stopped and I haven't had any issues since. The current Driver I'm using is:

Ok so now my problem... When I play DC Universe, Forsaken World, Aion, Bullet Run (Beta), S4 Legaue, Cod Black Ops, BfBC2, Blade & Soul, and Blacklight Retribution I'm getting pretty serious frame drops (like from 60 to under 20 if not a full freeze up). This didn't happen until around 2 months or so when a game called Ys: Origins came out for PC and I installed it. The game itself ran perfect but everything else started lagging up... I completed the game and did a full install using Revo and cleared everything attached to that game off my machine and it didn't help. I've run CC, didn't work... I've been monitoring my machine using speccy and when Idling with only 2 messengers, and like chrome running I get these readings:
MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
AMD Athlon II X4 630 52 °C
Propus 45nm Technology
6.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 533MHz (7-7-7-20)
PEGATRON CORPORATION VIOLET6 (CPU 1) 49 °C
DELL E773c (1024x768@75Hz)
1024MB GeForce GTX 560 (ASUStek Computer Inc) 37 °C
977GB Western Digital WDC WD10 EADS-65M2B0 SCSI Disk Device (ATA)
MagicISO Virtual DVD-ROM0000
Optiarc DVD RW AD-7231S5 SCSI CdRom Device
Realtek High Definition Audio
When I run a game I notice my CPU's temp will jump to 60-64°C which is very bothersome... I took my machine apart and did a very thorough cleaning of everything and got some thermal gel for my CPU since i noticed the gel that was on it was drying up. Unfortunately that didn't help the temps they still jump. The hottest my GPU will get will be around 40-42°C I have smart doctor running and it's done pretty well with keeping it under 45°C. My Mobo's temp never goes over 53°C.
Can anyone maybe shine a light on what i'm missing that's causing my issue with games? I was thinking that I should just upgrade my proc to a phenom ii x4 9xx (deneb), getting 2 4gb PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333) RAM sticks so i'll have another 2GB of RAM on top of what I currently have, and getting maybe an 800w PSU so I know I have enough power to support everything... Would this help or even be a good idea??
EDIT: Ok so i'm not sure exactly what I did today... but I managed to get everything working just fine again. I didn't do anything really "different" but I did uninstall a game that was in open beta in china called "Age of Wulin" and since I did that everything is running fine again... strange thing about it is that I was having the fps issue before I installed wulin I'm currently playing DC Universe and getting an average of 80-90 fps.
