Display Port vs DVI

Hi, what has better picture quality, the display port or the DVI port?

Displayport v1.2 is comparable to dvi-I duallink, ultimately it depends on your monitor and your gpu and what resolution your pushing and if you have a microminiature setup. Keep in mind there are multiple variations of dvi (dvi-d does not transmit audio, dvi-I does, duallink supports higher resolutions and refresh rates). If you want to avoid all the confusion just go with a displayport, it's like a super hdmi cable.

There is no difference in picture quality. They both carry the same information, just across a different cable.

singlelink dvi supports a max resolution of 1920x1200 @ 60hz where as displayport can handle higher Resolutions.

Yes, and that is not a difference in picture quality. It's a difference in maximum supported resolution.
