I have a beefy intel box and am looking for a super fast gaming card at a great price. What's the best deal out there today?

I have the Intel Core i7-990X. I'm *somewhat* flexible on budget, but always like the best deal.

If you can go to around 150-190, you should get the HD 6850 or maybe the nVidia GTX 560, they both are a good bang for their buck.

I don't think hd 7870 is the best deal here when it gets outperformed by even last year's gtx 570 in some instances. Seriously, if you could spend $50 more and buy a gtx670, it'd give you wayy better bang for buck. If overclocked well, the card would actually outperform the high end gtx680, gtx 590, hd6990, hd7950, hd7970 and so on and so forth. You will get almost 2x the performance for 50 more dollers not to mention gtx670 is one of the coolest and quietest cards out there. It will last you at least 2years. If you can afford to spend all that money for a i7 990x, I'm sure spending extra $50-70 won't be that hard, considering the solid gain in performance.
